While messing around with the code to try and fix it myself I did find a workaround for that particular problem, but I redownloaded the source and tried your fix instead. Both ways ended up leading to this error:

Please could anyone post tutorial for dummies - which server reqs. do I need to start server, how to do so & etc? I wanna to start server to learn how TomeNET works, how it stores it's data & etc.

what you mean what you need to know?
you download archive provided by me
you unarchive it
you click on tomenet.server.exe it start server
in tomenet client you choose Q to provide ip manually
you enter localhost or 192.168.1.1 if you run on the same machine
your first account is admin, with it you can /validate next account (remember that account name start with capital letter)

Edited first post, add minimal mingw packages to compile tomenet.server on linux

Please could you help for Liza, she asks is it possible to make dungeons to be located as it is at official server? Se said that when she starts server, dungeons become generated in random locations.. And she wishes to them to be at the same coordinates as at official server.

maybe there is certain place in dababase which could be edited? Liza want dungeons at the same places as at main server

btw in 1st message versions going from old to new (from top to bottom). better to do vice versa - so latest version would be on top

Thanks again Tokariew! I got some more friends into this game so they have been poking me over whether or not the update had been compiled.
