As beings made from outerwordly matter, with their strange wings they are able to fly through the outer aether, but they do not function well on Earth.
They have been heard to give praise to Nyarlathotep and Shub-Niggurath and hunt down everyone who transcribed their sacred designs. They are believed to communicate to each other through telepathy, but they are capable of physical speech, often described as like the buzzing of insects, and are capable of communicating in human languages. They can remove human brains for interplanetary transportation, yet keep them alive and conscious in special devices, allowing them to still see, hear and even speak. Their moral system is completely alien, making them seem highly malicious from a human perspective.
