TomeNET via SSH - certain characters look off

Post by esc »

Hi friends, this is my first post on this forum! Hope everyone is doing well :)

The reason for this post is that I like playing roguelikes in an ssh terminal using the standard codepage - think traditional unicode/utf-8 or cp437(preferably cp437). However, running the game has some characters that look off, see https://i.imgur.com/9twPM3t.png for an example. Notice that a lot of the characters to make up the buildings are rendering as ^B - this makes things look bizarre and I would love to figure out a way to have this conform to traditional charactersets. Is this doable, or possible?

Try to turn off solid walls in options.

Hm, would be nice to know if turning off font_map_solid_walls helped him =_= but iirc we had the same problem once and it should be the solution, yes.
