Martial Artists and Boomerangs?

Why not? Boomerangs are largely useless for anything but bonuses from having them equipped, but MA users can't even do that. But then, aren't Boomerangs the sort of weapon a martial artist would be able to work with? Martial arts isn't all about bare-handed combat -- I can understand why they can't use various melee weapons from a sanity / balancing standpoint, but why not give them a ranged weapon option, and simultaneously give boomerang mastery some sort of purpose?
