Sanity indicator
Sanity indicator
My friend has just died from insanity while clearing easy giants pit because he hasn't even noticed that something drains his sanity. (it was two giant telepaths). Sanity indicator is located in place where you don't often look while battling. Of course, there is sound effect when your sanity is lowered, but you can't always play with sound. My idea is to show low levels of sanity on your character (@), for example make your @ black or blinking when you have under 33% sanity. That would prevent death when you don't even know that something is not right. What do you guys think about that?
Re: Sanity indicator
Cool idea. I like idea to blink sometimes with several colors (like once in 5 seconds)

Re: Sanity indicator
I'd advise your friend turn on sound, every time a creature attacks your sanity it normally makes a spooky noise and red text pops up in the game messages window. Sound is also useful for hearing Quylthulgs blinking around!
Re: Sanity indicator
Good advice indeed! Sounds are very important in TomeNet. If you wanna survive - its all about information which you could get from all sources of the game.

Re: Sanity indicator
When sanity drops below 25% the sanity indicator is indeed flashing in multiple colours.
Re: Sanity indicator
Yes but what I meant was that it is hard to notice it since looking at sanity indicator means not looking at your HP (and possible summon). Thats why I want to avoid it. (by adding this temporary indicator on @ which is shown only in critical situations)
