More different race features. Lineages of races

Post by tangar »

1) As Draconians have their Lineage.. May be it would be interesting to add some differencies to other races? For example, vampires:

Human vampire - normal ones
Hobbit vampire - small creepy, more fast (like Gorlum?); sturdy, but weak
Gnome vampire - have more magic then human vampires. Weaker.
Dwarf vampire - more sturdy, even better vision in darkness. Less swiftness.
Orc vampire - bloodlust. stronger, but dumber. Need to eat more then human vamps.
Troll vampire - big and strong, but slow. bloooodlust. dumbs. Need to eat MUCH more then human vamps (very easy to die from hunger)
Yeek vampire - even more pathetic then hobbits vampires. But learn very fast.
Goblin vampire - very fast, foxy creatures.
Kobold vampire - something like imps.

Of course there are no elf, ents, maia vampires (cause they are blessed or unable to be a vampire).

2) Would be fun to have more variability in all races, not only vampires. For example:

Dwarves:
-- Longbeards, Durin's Folk, originally from Gundabad.
-- Firebeards and Broadbeams, originally from Nogrod and Belegost.
-- Ironfists and Stiffbeards, originated in the Orocarni in the far East.
-- Blacklocks and Stonefoots, originated in the Orocarni.

Hobbits:
-- The Stoors grew facial hair and had an affinity for water, boats and swimming and wore boots;
-- the Fallohides were fair, tall and slim, an adventurous people, friendlier and more open to outsiders.
-- Finally, the Harfoots were the most numerous and instituted the living in burrows. In later days the Harfoot traits became the "norm".

& etc.. For all race its nice to have more variants :)

Most important here to make SOME difference, but not much. Then it wouldn't influence at balance of the game.
