Making Magic Device useable end-game
What if 50 Magic Device special ability was rods are no longer discharged? It might make a character that uses rods for full-time damage actually viable. How cool would that be? More options for viable skill paths is always a good thing.

AFAIK currently some people already using rods at endgame to heal and support
