to understand you have to try it
- I stopped using skype and all other programms cause of stupid ads and slow work and totally migrated to discord. It's fast, it works from BROWSER. You don't need to install any programm. It's just works in one of opened tabs in my chrome browser and I'm happy.
- almost all gamers got it at our TomeNET Discord we got ~ 30 players online.
- there is emoji's. It's really fun stuff. Especially because we got TomeNET-based emoji

and yeah, music bot! it plays stuff without making your CPU hot! And you share your best songs with community, it's like community radio

but i use discord… maybe not tomenet server. using more than more server is paintfull, you get notification hell if you not mute channels/server, and I don't see ability to only get notification/beeps from one channel in server unless i mute all others and it's time consuming
voice chat is lottery for me on discord sometimes it's working flawlessly sometimes i have problems which can't be resolve in timely fashion

if playing music make CPU hot, please try cooling with liquid N2… or maybe try vinyl

Time consuming? 2 click, 2 CLICKS, CARL! RMB at channel -> server mute..

I play DnD via discord for hours and didn't had tiny problem with it ever.

In compare to other platforms which stream music - discord music bot make sense. You listen music at the same browser tab where y got discord and it's YEAH, saves loads of CPU

sometimes you use stuff that you don't enjoy or not find very nice because you kinda force to… to be informed, keep touch with others or other reasons… and for me discord is in this category… I will happily use other forms of communication, but i will not force group of people to use something else, just because i don't like using discord…

if server have couple of dozen channels i don't see simple way to just keep notification from one channel, just 2 clicks per channel you don't want to get notification… no thank you…

96kbs for music or something like that, reencoded from youtube, yep make sensę… i now that opus is nice codec, but not that nice for me…

TomeNET got 2 channels, 2, CARL! It's 2x2 = 4 clicks of your precious mouse. Come on, dude! Fight with your lazyness and join our freaking Discord

Mangband (https://mangband.org/) got Discord <-> game integration It looks pretty well. It would be awesome to have such feature in TomeNET!

As our community become strong and mature, I've lifted any moderation/rules from Russian-speaking channel, now it's 100% free to speech there (except topics which are forbidden by law - discrimination, terrorism & etc).

Also I wanna to inform the community that a few weeks ago I gave TomeNET discord channel ownership to Blue, so now it's owned exclusively by dev team. If you got any ideas/suggestions about Discord - please contact developers; I'm only moderator there, to ban occasional bots.
