Many of the empty spots in vaults should be gone now. They were caused by the server trying to spawn unique or aquatic monsters. The wilderness should also have more monsters now. Dungeon floor generation is also much faster now.

Looking at unique monsters (using 'l' key) will now display their name in dark grey instead of white in case you've already slain this unique before, making it easier to sort out which uniques "belong" to whom when teaming up with other players.

Note: If you don't get a dark line but just a leading 'D' instead in the usual white colour, press = to enter the options menu, go to "UI options 1" and set "target_history" flag to "yes". (This will be fixed in next client release, cvs has already been updated).

!v won't prevent bashing an item anymore.
Bashing a stack of ammo will actually move the whole stack instead of just one item.
Axes and swords will help hacking down trees/bushes if no better digging tool is equipped. (see guide)
Stealth is shown as 'bad' if aggravating items are equipped.
Mount Doom walls are no longer accidentally set to 'treasure walls' but normal walls instead.

Gondolin has a book store too now.

Mindcrafters hit point dice were increased from 5 to 6, weapon/MA skills were increased by 0.1.
New mindcrafter spell 'Feedback' was added which is basically like 'Air Wings' from Air school, granting feather falling, and flying later on.
Rings of Power will no longer drain experience while _nearby_ a town, instead of just _in_ a town, so players can sort items in their houses etc without having to watch their experience getting lower and lower. ;)
A bug regarding too long AFK messages has been fixed.

Slightly older updates that weren't mentioned before:
Grond was modified to give full esp, STR and CON. Also maxed +hit and +dam and removed +AC.
Bookstores will offer fireproof ego type more often.
A bug with 'assisted unique kills' has been fixed, uniques will spawn correctly again as usual.
Artifact creation details added to guide regarding royal armour (heavy mithril/adamantite ones).
'Willpower' spell removes fear.
Hot-swapped arrows can no longer be used as 'Flares' if inscribed '!k'.
All golem-related items are findable again.
Submerged Ruins and Small Water Cave are now deep-water nearly exclusively, making them ideal grounds for hunting while in aquatic forms (hint hint druids).

Fixed a bug that would make cloaking effective against all monsters without exceptions (e,A,N,smart+powerful uniques,Nazgul).
Since vortices may cause confusion: They cannot really see through cloaking. They just keep moving completely randomly, and if they happen to accidentally bump into you, your camouflage will get dropped.

Weight of 'Elven Gloves' was changed from 2.0 to 1.0.

If you use latest CVS, you will already be able to set 'magic' traps using runes. This feature is not official until the next client release, and may cause random problems, so try it on your own risk.

Someone reported that brands and slays on ranged weaponry might currently be buggy in some cases, aka showing no effect on the damage output. This has been checked and brands were found to work. Since they depend on the ammo dice, you won't see much effect on ammo of low dice, like 1d6 or similar.

Two experimental mindcrafter spells added:

Recognition (Thought school) - A basic identify spell.

Kinetic shield (Power school) - A shield that uses telekinetic powers to repel melee attacks and physical missiles, draining mana each time.

Especially insane out-of-depth spawns which could occur inside certain high level vaults (more than 40 levels) shouldn't happen any longer.

Added an experimental party BBS as suggested by Caine and Goober, and also a guild BBS. Note that their contents currently aren't saved to disk, which means messages won't survive server updates/restarts.
To access them, use the slash commands /pbbs and /gbbs.
Using them without any further parameters will display the according BBS:
/pbbs
If you add anything else to the line, it will instead result in that text being added to the BBS:
/pbbs Hey.. I'll be back in an hour.

/pbbs and /gbbs now get their contents saved over server restarts.

Druid form "White Shark" has been changed to "Great White Shark", which is somewhat tougher.

Martial Arts allows higher inventory weight before being encumbered.

Crossbows will only get extra shots from ARROW_ form if it's also a fast-shooting form (1_IN_3 or better).

Rangers get higher skill modifiers for ranged skills, and are able to train Archery skill up to 10.000.

Rangers, Shamans and Adventurers can now also train temporal magic school.
The effect of 'essence of speed' spell will be capped at 10 for every class except istar.
