There could be some exeptions, for example Grond which you kindly demonstrated. It could be similar mechanic to several types of cursed items: lets there would be "common aggro", which is possible to turn off and "perma aggro" at certain powerful items which is impossible to turn...

Its quite often to meet aggro suffix at good items. In TomeNet agro in most cases makes such item rubbish (not much tanks and parties around) cause it wakes up monsters and make you easy to die. May be add players possibility to turn off aggro, like it could be done with teleport or earthquake prope...
