character creation issue

after server login, in character selection menu i try push n, e, q, all buttons, but nothing happens
game totally freezing
help!

1) change language to English
2) check capslock and num lock. it has to be off

RMB at game shortcut -> "run as administrator". Also try to check firewall settings.

Try RMB at shortcut -> "Run this program in compatibility mode" - win 7 and win xp

farfetch'd guess, did you use SHIFT+n or only n?
You must use capital letters on this screen to create chars, or to quit the game. you use lowercase letters to choose char
If don't work try to checking if you have connection with server. (This is more farfetched even) you can check if you have connection using powershell on windows with command:

Test-NetConnection europe.tomenet.eu -port 18348
if it's not work check your router/firewall settings and enable this port.
Selection screen connect with metaserver on diffrent port, than game itself, but if it's displaying char overview i don't think it's something port related,
