When did you first time see roguelike game? Which roguelike game was your first one? Tell your story :)

For me it was Nethack and Moria. I saw how my father played it ~1995. It was very complex to understand but I was interested. After ~ a year I've tried to play Nethack, but I didnt know English at all. So I've started learning English while played Nethack :) Moria was more harder game to understand because there wasn't any titles and for a child (I was ~11) it was too hardcore :) Then Diablo appeared and other RPGs and I played Nethack rarely. After Ultima Online (I started it @99) I didnt play roguelikes at all. So i've returned to roguelike genre just recently - year or two ago. First I've streamed Nethack, Rogue and Moria, then I've accidentally found TomeNet and stay there from that time :) Its my story.

Sorry but that's too long ago for my old memory ;) I remember playing that at school when I was a kid and wondering how the hell a simple game like that was so damn difficult and addictive.
