Server hangs caused by long chat messages have been fixed. The code got stuck in an infite loop preventing anyone from connecting to the server.

Randart weapons (including boomerangs) can provide poison brand now.
Existing randart weapons are pretty unlikely to change, they would most certainly if they provided +WIS or SEE_INVIS, you should re-check your randart weapons anyway to eliminate any risk though.

Increased some 'high level' staff prices and genocide scroll prices.
Magic shops (red '6' in towns) now buy empty custom spellbooks (codices/spellbooks/grimoires).
TY_CURSE and DG_CURSE now 'proc' less frequently (concerns for example Iron Helm of Gorlim).

Mimic HP for very high character levels (51-99) adjusted, so that high-end forms still sort of retain their HP advantage they were felt to have at around level 50, instead of it diminishing against the player's base HP.

Added several warnings aimed at newbies, for example when bpr drops to 1 on melee-reliant characters, etc.

Removed +SEARCHING from base elven cloaks, to allow better randart results for them.
(Note that +SEARCHING might still sometimes occur as a generic random randart flag, that can occur on all sort of randarts.)

Server updated to accomodate newly released client 4.4.1a.
Chat might be glitchy if you use older clients.
Highscore has been reset!

Standing on walls without wraithform will now drain mana if disruption shield is on.
The issue with gardens growing inside houses has (hopefully) been fixed.

Book stores will now sell books according to the town level. This means that there will be more high-level books in book stores outside Bree.

Suicide messages appear in message log AND chat log of the character has once been level 5 or higher,
otherwise only in message log. (Opl)

Vaults getting their walls destroyed when spawned in 'maze' levels should be fixed now, ie keep their walls.

Transferring items or money to a highlander participant before the tournament begins is no longer possible.
Starting at the first dungeon floor, entering a deeper dungeon floor in the highlander dungeon will also teleport the player, so they don't all end up around
the same spot.

The (extremely rare) stair-bug that killed Salinger on -200 Mordor should be fixed.
Was probably sort of winning the TomeNET lottery, in a bad way ;)

We decided to ultimately fix a big issue in the skill system, that wasn't really noticable to players, but accumulated over time until the bomb went off now.

As a side effect, everyone got all his skills reset and may hence completely reskill!

Please don't forget to reskill before you dive, so you won't die when casting non-existant spells -_-'

Not exactly related to release of client 4.4.4b, but still new updates:

Swimming skill buffed (resists item destruction in inventory), less skill points needed, maxes at 1.000.

Digging skill buffed, can uncover/find special things, get automatic treasure detection at 30.000.
Order of affected feats: Rubble > Treasure veins > Quartz/Magma/Sandwall > Granite.
The frequency at which certain unusual things turn up is probably subject to tweaking....

More rubble in Moria now; Moria renamed to "The Mines of Moria".

Rogue stealing skill has a chance for very valuable items (which would cost more than 50000 in a non-black market store) to turn the item level 0, because it's known as having been stolen and people don't want to be seen with it.
The technical reason behind it is to make stealing a skill that isn't used in the way that a rogue is levelled to 40 just for stealing, then parked forever and just serves as item-generator for other characters, but instead is a choice meant for actual gameplay.
