There is a problem if you accidentally meet another player in IDDC. You loose possible exp/loot... It gives potential possibility to to harass another player in IDDC - just mess around, killing monsters and taking loot. In "common" mode its totally ok - you could repeat the same lvl or go to another location, but in IDDC its critical. You can't get back something which you've missed.
For example, I like to play solo and suddenly another player appears at IDDC lvl. Lvl ruined... Even character ruined - cause its reduce my chances to survive further. So you start to think what to do - create a new char and play in low online time?
I'm totally fine with playing party, but only when you want this happen. When I wanna play solo to be maximum effective and then someone ruin it - its very frustrating.
It's hard to solve this problem.. What I see there: we could inspire from Probability Travel mechanic (when high-lvl char pass lvls with low-lvl players)... In IDDC it could be like this: to make a "mirror" instanced lvl for each player if they meet at certain depth... If they join the same party - next lvl would be joint. And leave only cities as "meeting" grounds for all players.
Its not easy to implement it, I suppose. may be there could be other ideas, please discuss.
And yes, TomeNET is online game. But IDDC mode is very specific; in my view its very competitive; ladder and your personal result is essential there

I do not consider this problem so serious as TS, but..
Maybe its a good idea. For example I just skip floor without exp \ loot.(and then hear some rage into myself, lol) With low exp penalthy exp not that big problem in IDDC for me, floors was been yellow, but loosing loot, ($) not nice. maximum efficiency is two player game
You get more xp compared to playing solo, little encourage to play in parties

2) You still loose loot even if you are in party. In IDDC loot has more value then in "common" mode... Make bonus loot for parties in IDDC (50% at least)? Separate loot? Or add "copy" of each item for each party member?
So actually you get bonus, but only if you are in party. If you meet another player and you are not part of party - you would loose exp.In a party you will share experience points if you are within 7 character
levels to each other and on the same dungeon/tower level respectively
the same worldmap/wilderness sector. A slight experience bonus is applied
for killing monsters in a party!
