When I was playing Angband I could tab through all the symbols on the screen that I could detect.
Very good for identifying mobs you did or didn't want to tangle with. How do I do that in Tomenet?
Looking at mobs with esp
Re: Looking at mobs with esp
In TomeNet there is three ways of IDing monster:
1) look at it with 'l' key (monster needs to be in LoS) // dangerous and not always possible
2) traditional 'oldschool' way - learn flickering patterns. Different monsters have different colors/flickering // but if you are new player, it could be very hard to distinct one mob from another, EX:
Who is who there?
3) use my tileset (tm) In my tileset it became piece of cake! EX:

But actually your idea (or better to say - Angband approach) - also very good. One day devs could add it, who knows. But for now it's totally ok to play with existing three ways of IDing mobs. With tileset it's quite possible to learn flickering patterns in time and distinct monsters without 'l'ooking at them
