Body armour at high levels

There are almost NO light body armour for 40+lvl types (check http://tomenet.eu/pstores.php at NE-mode ). Everything what I see at market or in-game - DSM of different kinds.. But DSM couldn't be used by half of classes (casters, ranged, MA, rogues...). The only light viable armour is robes (of permanence), but they are <40 lvl amours.

Why it made like this? As MA user I do not have much options in current situation :(

For light armour are only randarts, one you generate, or one you find in dungeon. Some time ago i even sell few randies for 45+

Istar with max combat can wear to 30lbs armour withut any malus to spellcasting, other magic classes more,
26 lbs is max weight for MA with maxed MA, or for any other rougish action (dualwielding, dodge, critical chance) with maxed Combat

You can wear DSM as MA from about 36 skill value :) You only must remember to not wear other heavy piece of armour. MY current Runie (30lvl) semicaster wear now about 30lbs of armour on them, and 20 is DSM. Yes i train combat, to not restrict spellcasting. And 30lbs are even value which istar after maxing combat can wear.
In 26lbs you can wear some nice piece of armoury. Non druid MA have little hard to have all res

Yep, but after wearing 20 lbs DSM you have left only 6 lbs and isn't enough for rest armour pieces. But its not a real matter of this discussion... I want to notice, that there are almost no light armours after 40 lvl. Am I right? Or I'm just unlucky or players do not gather light armours from dungeons so there is nothing at players stores? And if there are lack of light 40+ armour, why its made like this?

You are right- but not only is there lack of light armors, also heavy armors (excluding DSMs). Randarts armors dont often get many useful resistances, and DSMs always have, along with high AC. Thats why they are so popular.

Yep.. And thats why I'm going to play heavy-armoured characters :) Its easier to find good items for them.
