[suggestion] 'center' player option

Add possibility to make camera 'follow' player. This option already exist in Angband (http://rephial.org/), it's called 'center_player'

With it gameplay looks pretty smooth, kinda nicer.. also it's much more comfortable to play with such option if you play 'fullscreen' (like in my streams) without big_map

also this option makes game feel more MMORPG-like and it's more newbie-friendly imho

it's not critical thing, but interesting to have; some players could enjoy it

Anyone tried it in Angband? How do you like it?

in some rogouelikes/lites i hate this option… especially if it's graphical and it move in jagged way without any animation to smooth it…
enemies move 2 or spaces at once or more, so for me it's harder to track multiple enemies, coming from diffrent direction.
But maybe with text tiles and real-time it will be better… or worse…

I've tried to play it in PWMAngband ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S59X8d5fkMM ) and after a while I've become a bit dizzy. But I played as melee fighter and had to chase mobs. Maybe if you are ranged class - it's better (it definitelly more effective cause you don't have problems when you can not shoot mob nearby who is offscreen 2 tiles from you).

I suppose THE BEST realisation would be - hotkey which would center_player when you push it and uncenter back when you push it again. This would solve problems of ranged chars when they state in bad position.

..and such hotkey already exist in PWMA - http://angband.online/guide/commands-details/:
Center map ('^L') or Center map ('@')

This command allows to center the map on the player.
