Lost levels and item level requirements

I think you should be able to get ownership of an item if you were ever high enough level to use it, rather than your current level. Obviously I could just not die and it wouldn't be an issue, but hey that's why I play everlasting. I understand level requirements as an anti-twinking measure, but in this case I've already reached that level before so it's just annoying. Dying means losing items which potentially opens holes in resists, and often I find myself a few levels short of an item that would solve my problems.

It makes EL not so easy to play. But it still much more easy then NE. So I suppose its ok as it is. TomeNET - isn't a World of Warcraft where you don't have any consequences after you die...
