Why do potions last seconds? I can't seem to use them in combat as combat is very fast and potions last no time at all so it's not really feasible to pre-game even and put up potions before a fight?
Is there a way to modify the turn durations on potions if you have admin access on your own server files?

They designed like this - to last seconds (time depends at dungeon depth and your char speed I suppose) so you have to buy several potions and drink them at the right time.

At early game timed-potions (not cure) have to be used only in rare situation - heroism potions before harsh fight or res fire pot when you meet mage or shaman.

code for potion is hardcoded, i think you can edit it cmd6.c file, but you need to compile server for yourself…
you write a macro to do all kind of stuff in TomeNET, so you only hit one button when you need it, just after before you meet monster
